A assessment of the U.S.’ visa reciprocity coverage for Nigeria has led to a slash of visa software expenses for citizens of the North American nation by the Nigerian authorities. 

Confirming the event, the Comptroller-Basic of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mr Muhammad Babandede mentioned the visa software expenses for American citizens was slashed from $180 to $160. 

The knowledge was conveyed in a memo marked NIS/HQ/CGI/806/7 and addressed to the Everlasting Secretary within the Ministry of International Affairs.

All Nigerian missions have been requested to instantly implement the brand new visa expenses and discontinue the outdated price damaged down as “$160 as visa price and $20 as “processing and expedient fees”.

The brand new directive is nevertheless coming months after the US authorities imposed extra visa fees on Nigerian citizens in retaliation of an elevated visa price for US citizens by the Nigerian authorities.
